The Zone of Lawlessness
The official podcast of Pleiades Outlaw Wrestling (POW)

It's now officially 2123, and have we seen all kinds of happenings in the POW in the wake of Countdown to Destruction!  Lots of it has to do with the machinations around the True Way, and what Talisman has wrought with his team and with the Dissidents' response to it.  The newest Dissident, Benedict (pictured), is a big man with a claim to lots of information about Talisman and his thus-far unsubstantiated claim that he's done for in two years or less.  Is he right?  And which person involved in this feud is the recipient of a Bitchslap?

How about Conundrum and Stigma's attack on Cypher?  Trent thinks the beating was a real humdinger, but he questions what Stigma's getting out of the arrangement.  Hear what he has to say on this partnership.  Plus a send-off to Jack of Diamonds and Killer Queen, legends of the biz.

It's almost here!  Countdown to Destruction is just days away, and we've got the scoop on the whole card here!  You want to know who's fighting who, how, and why?  The answers are at your fingertips!  Who will fight for the heavyweight title?  Who's in a Circinus Cell Match?  What new faces will we see?  You'll have to click the link above to find out!

Tied into the news of the POW's biggest show are items about newcomer Konari (pictured here), a Jardiil monk/warrior who says he bears tidings of a prophecy regarding Thayne, as reported earlier on the Zone.  But there's a new twist that has Alpha Lyrae in an uproar!

Rubicon could've been a contender (for the heavyweight belt, that is), but instead something happened in his #1 contender match that wrecked those chances.  And all of us are still scratching our heads at what occured with him at the last show.  Maybe when you hear the news, you can make sense of it, but if not, feel free to speculate along with the rest of us!  We're almost there, folks!  This is the last you'll hear of Trent in 2122, so don't miss out!

The countdown to Countdown to Destruction continues, and this time there's news about two newcomers and one returnee to the POW.  Returning to the fray for the Jardiil is Onami, who had hoped to make the odds uneven for Thayne in the ongoing battle between their forces, but instead a Jardiil monk/warrior named Konari has shocked his people by going against them and proclaiming that Thayne will fulfill a prophecy of bringing the two sides together in peace, and he says he has the ancient scroll to prove it!  Is he telling the truth, or is he part of a plot to undermine the Jardiil's sworn enemy?  Even Thayne isn't sure yet!

What about the much-touted Conundrum?  Has he made any alliances yet?  The short answer: yes.  The longer answer: he's only telling us one small piece of the puzzle, but it narrows down the field of possibilities considerably.  Maybe it also provides some clues into who his grudge is against?

A Lawless Bitchslap is due to a man in the upper reaches of the fed but who is one who needs a good swift smack to get him to make a move he so obviously needs to make.  Who is it, and what move does Trent mean?  Click the POD link above to find out!

You've heard it – the match has been signed for Countdown to Destruction.  Raven makes his long-awaited return to a wrestling ring for a high-profile fight against Jack of Diamonds in Jack's retirement match.  And what better way to get inside the heads of the two combatants than to speak directly to them?  That's exactly what Trent has in store for you on this show, with an interview via subspace satellite with both of them to hear what they're thinking in the run-up to the big year-end event.  How's Raven look these days, anyway?  Is Jack ready for the fight?  You'll hear it straight from them right here!

There are also some more alliances coming together in preparation for the team realignments, one of which Trent discusses in detail here, and it has to do with ... believe it or not ... J.J. Smooth!  What could possibly have happened to get him to become pals with ...?  Nope, you'll just have to click the POD link above and find out!

Behold the Zealot, the big man from the commune of the True Way of Life, who will be debuting soon in the POW as a member of Talisman's team.  Along with the cruiserweight T.K. (who will be sporting a new look of his own, also), this superheavyweight is ready to fight, and ready to do anything Talisman says, because he believes in his leader's cause.  What might Raze, Absalom, and Indigo – the three True Way dissidents, although not all of whom agree on tactics – might have to say about this, as well as a possible third member of Talisman's group?  Trent has some speculation on it all.

There's news on whom the retiring Jack of Diamonds has picked to face in his final match (it's a big one, folks!) and on another departure from the league and what his plans are outside of the POW.  Plus, Trent has a Lawless Seal of Approval® for another pretty face in the fed.  All this and more when you click the link above!

Most artists who have drawn characters for Champions of the Galaxy have not been familiar with the game and its fans when tapped to make the visual representations of the men and women who do battle in our far-flung future.  Werner Mueck not only knew what COTG was when he became the official artist for the Promoter Madness sets (and now for POW, as well), he had done possibly hundreds of bootleg characters for game fans before getting a regular job from Filsinger Games.  As a result, his artwork has consistently shown a dedication to the concepts the game embodies, and as anyone who has worked with him (myself included) can tell you, he's everything you want in a collaborator -- quick but thorough, creative but able to work within a framework, and above all a guy not to take himself too seriously.  You'll see what I mean in this post-GalactiCon conversation with perhaps the most prolific artist in COTG history.

Now that President Prodigy has informed the fans of the POW that teams will be reinstated at the start of 2123, we have to know: Who's getting together with who?  It's true, some old alliances are being reestablished, but there are some new groupings that might surprise you.  Also, one tag team has already said they won't be together in the coming year.  Which one?  What other rumors are flying about as-yet-undeclared fighters?  Trent's got some information you're going to want to hear!

Thayne and Ahnu are locked in a closely-contested struggle for the freedom of a cherished icon – a wife and children to one, a revered religious leader to the other.  But right now, the race is too close to call.  What's Trent been hearing about how Dar Gova plans to have his Jardiil fighter pull away and win the war?  And does Thayne have any plans of his own to counter?

Finally, what's the name Iron Hand doing in a POW broadcast?  You'll just have to listen to find out!

In this second installment of the GalactiCon interviews, you'll hear from a real life superhero (or at least he played one on TV for the Sci-Fi Channel's "Who Wants to Be a Superhero?"), Nitro G – a.k.a. Darren Passarello in his mild-mannered alter-ego.  Nitro has made the crossover from reality to our Champions of the Galaxy universe by becoming a character in GWF MARTIAL LAW 2123 (which you should have by now, and if you don't, go to www.filsingergames.com to order).  So in an unscheduled session in the heart of Fed HQ, I sat with Darren and spoke with him about his time on reality TV, his relationship with Stan Lee, his comic book favorites, where he sees his future while not battling bad guys, and lots of other stuff.  I think after listening to this, you'll agree that he fits in with our brand of craziness just fine.

And after you listen to this interview, go to www.nitrog.com for more links and how to e-mail Darren.

A major announcement from the front office of the POW, delivered by President Prodigy, has sent another seismic rumble through the ranks of the federation, and Trent's got all the news you need to know about it right here.  What's the big news?  And what's going to happen in the aftershock?  He's got some ideas (and hopes) about that, too.

There's also some information about the partnership of Euritar and Dante, and specifically one of the team members' seeming unhappiness with the other.  And you know you've been waiting for the return of the Lawless Bitchslap, so you're in luck with this program, as Trent's got a doozy waiting for the unlucky recipient this time!

As you'll remember, after GalactiCon last year, I conducted some interviews with some of the key players in the current Filsinger Games/Champions of the Galaxy pantheon.  This year was no different, as I spoke with four of the folks now involved in some way, shape, or form with the COTG product.  First up will be the creator of aCe star Totalis, the Tournament Master, or should I say, the GalactiCon Master, Todd Joerchel.  Within the confines of Fed HQ after all the convention activities were over on Sunday, I sat down with him and asked him the questions that needed to be asked of a guy who runs things behind the scenes for Filsinger Games (especially the question of what Tom is like as a boss!).

Click the POD link above and wait a few minutes for the podcast to download, or Totalis might have to whip up a tournament to beat your behind in!

For the first time ever, at GalactiCon '08, the Zone of Lawlessness went live in front of an audience of freaks, mutants, degenerates, and even a few people who cheat at poker.  The energetic crowd was treated to the patented Lawless sense of humor, but the real star of the show was the GWFZ's own Johnny Rocket!  Johnny came by to talk to Trent about the developmental league for the GWF, some of the personalities, his role in the fed, and where he sees some of the Z's stars in the future.

But that's not all!  Toward the end of the show, former Z star Totalis (the Tournament Master) makes his appearance to denigrate the league he left for All Centra Entertainment, and that doesn't sit too well with some of the Z's current "headliners" (pun intended).  More than one member of the Z who was on hand at the Con came out to make the end of the show, shall we say, "Sledgendary"!

Since we're coming up on the 19th edition of the annual Champions of the Galaxy/Legends of Wrestling convention in Jamestown, New York, on July 12, it's time to talk about what will be happening there this year.  Specifically, I want your ideas on some of the recordings that will be going on, both for this site and for COTG Online.  Obviously, auditions for voices for the "original 24" characters from the 2087 set will be done, as previously announced, but I've also got some other ideas for audio to create with the help of fellow fans and promoters.  Contained in this Mark's Musings are those ideas, which I solicit your feedback on.  They may not all happen due to time constraints, but I'm just trying to get an idea of which ones people place a higher priority on so that we can plan accordingly.  So listen and let me know which of these sound good to you.  Then come to Jamestown this July and be a part of the game ... literally!

This time, no interruptions from Nes Kincade, or anyone else, for that matter.  Just Trent beginning with a (for him, rare) message of apology for his outbursts before getting into the news of the day.  The main topic for discussion is the alleged moves by Raze to start taking over the True Way commune from the influence of his former manager and mentor, Talisman.  We know that he and Absalom appear to have gotten on the same page about it all lately, but is there more in store from the former panic attack victim?  And if so, what are Talisman and T.K.'s likely responses going to be?

There's also some more discussion about the possible reformation of the team format in the POW and who might be the best candidate to benefit from such a shift, as well as some speculation on what Viggo's possible return might mean for the Thayne/Ahnu feud (already about the hottest in the POW).  Plus, to counteract the negative vibes he gave off last time, there's a Lawless Seal of Approval® to bestow on a worthy competitor.  Click the POD link above to learn who that is and to hear all the rest of the aforementioned news and gossip!

Even though we're in a slow news time in the POW, that doesn't mean that there's no drama on the Zone of Lawlessness, but this time, it's not Trent providing it!  As you'll hear when you click the POD link above, there's an unscheduled interruption in the middle of the show as the subspace audio link is hijacked from a whole other dimension.  Who's responsible for this effrontery?

You're looking at him right here.  What does he have to say?  And how does Trent take being booted off his own show?  One thing's for sure: fans of all-Centra Entertainment are gonna mark...the...

Is this fighter the top heavyweight mixed-martial arts competitor in the POW?  Nobody will dispute that the mat technician Cypher deserves a place in the elite of the division, but Trent Lawless will have the final say on whether his skills on the ground earn him the top spot in this, the final countdown of the MMA divisions in the federation.  You can probably guess who will be joining him up in the stratosphere, but who has what it takes to get the Lawless imprimatur of the best MMA heavyweight in the galaxy?  Put on your thinking caps and see if you can divine the Lawless Way (not to be confused with the True Way, naturally).

We've made it to our 20th show (despite the ratings, even)!  For this installment, we've got the 14 cruiserweights of the POW ranked by Mr. Lawless himself in order of ascending proficiency, with perhaps Pendekar in the top spot?  Or will it be his partner Stigma?  Or Thayne, Zed Marlowe, Euritar?  Lots of possibilities for this one, as the cruiserweight division is potentially the most talent-filled of any we have in the POW.  Who's your pick?  Let's see if you and Trent agree.

We've also got fan mail (believe it or not) speculating about who Mike Fortune's current employer in his feud against Hanuman might be.  While Trent thinks the fan might be onto something, he's got some Lawless-like twists of his own to put some spin on it all, so that by the end you won't know what to think!

In this Zone of Lawlessness, Trent will continue his rankings of the different MMA divisions.  You'll listen to his take on the super heavyweights, the biggest of the big men, the nine fellows (human, animal, and mixture) who populate that grouping.  You can likely guess who the bottom one or two are, but what about the top ones?  Where does Rubicon come in as Trent sees it?  And what does he have to say about the two super heavyweights who commandeered his studio and manhandled Marv — Silas and Gordo?  You might be hearing a whip sound effect somewhere in this particular rant!

There's also a Where Are They Now? segment featuring the whereabouts and whatabouts of the former Z-Man, Zouave.  Think he's still wrestling?  Think again!  And you probably have no idea what enterprise he's engaged in now!

Now that we're in the POW era, we're seeing a different side to the competitors we know and cheer (and jeer).  We're seeing how they handle a different type of combat - mixed martial arts.  Revisiting his personal rankings concept that he started some time ago, Trent will use the next few shows to break down his lists of who are the best and worst in each of the POWs four divisions, starting this time with the women.  Where does Rhiannon fit in on that list?  Or the other former OFC ladies?  He's got his opinions, and while they're not guaranteed to be right, he'd like you to think they are!

Vidtek weighs in during the middle segment of the show with his thoughts on the changeover from CPC to POW (with some surprising things to say about his former manager and teammates!), and then he decides he has a Bitchslap of his own to deliver to someone in the GWF!  Listen to find out who he's targeting!

Little did you know that with Show 016, you were hearing your final Zone of Lawlessness under the banner of the Colby-Pelf Corporation (CPC).  Now, with the buyout of the league by Faustus Grael, the federation has revived the name from the mid-21st century of Pleiades Outlaw Wrestling (P.O.W.), and all the rebel attitude that entails!  And perhaps surprisingly, the new face of the league is the same as the old one was: that of Jack Hood, who not only has taken back the reins of the commissionership from the departed Tiberius Prell, but says he's going to occasionally step back in the ring and battle it out with whoever thinks they're tough enough!  Trent's got some thoughts about the changeover and about Jack Hood himself, and you might be interested to know...they're not 100% positive.

Trent also tells what he knows of some further background to the saga of Saboteur and Shylock and how the devious one was thwarted in his dramatic return to the fed at Countdown to Destruction.  When did Shylock and Splatter know what they knew, and why did they take the course that they did?  Maybe not everything is answered by the end of the segment, but at least you'll know what Trent knows.  And who gets the Lawless Seal of Approval® this time?  (Hint: It's a pretty blatant attempt at sucking up, but at least Trent seems to realize that.)

The anonymous informer inside the CPC's front offices, "The Mole," has just come forward with some truly stunning news, perhaps the most important development ever for fans of the federation.  He/she has recorded part of a conversation between Magnus Colby and Pleiades Cluster Center owner and promoter Faustus Grael (pictured here) that is without a doubt shocking!  In addition, another recording was later made remotely from an unknown place between Grael and an unidentified person, which you'll also hear here.

We're getting ever closer to the end of the year when big things always happen, and in this episode of the Zone of Lawlessness, you're gonna hear about plenty of big stuff leading up to them!  Among the tidbits of news you'll hear this time are the details surrounding the suspension of Darwin's Legacy's manager Dr. Barnabas until the year-ending Countdown to Destruction show.  We know he's an evil genius, but what did he do to earn this, and who caught him?  Better yet, what will he get up to in his time off, and what will the repercussions be for his past and present wrestlers?

Also, Mike Fortune has a new employer and a new target.  Who's he going after this time, and what's the cryptic message being delivered?  Then there's the oddest behavior of all, not surprisingly coming from Rhiannon in a contest between her ally Shylock and his archenemy Cypher.  What's the banshee up to now, and what could it all mean?  Listen and find out!

In the final installment of the interview series conducted at GalactiCon '07, I sat down with Larry Swank (aka BDS), website developer and designer as well as a Champions of the Galaxy fan, to discuss his role in the brave new world of COTGOnline.  While Larry and his wife Holli are largely responsible for the data entry and what many would call the unglamorous work of the venture, they've got creative ideas in their own right when it comes to the look and feel of what you see when you sit at the game table or utilize the site's many features.  His thoughts turn to the genesis of the project, what it takes to root out pesky code problems, and where he'd like to see the Online project go within the next year or so.

It's hard to leave a motormouth like Trent Lawless speechless, but for a few moments at the last CPC Goldmine, this creature – Nano – did just that.  What exactly is it?  Or should we say instead, what are they?  This newcomer to the CPC says it "wants to play."  Trent doesn't exactly know what to make of it/them, and after hearing Nano's intentions, maybe you'll be wondering the same things Trent is!  One thing's for sure, it will make things interesting for whatever division it competes in!

Vidtek's back this time to talk about the feud in the GWF between Retribution and Nosfera and the popularity that the rookie has been achieving there.  Why do the fans like him so much, and what's his future beyond this blood vendetta likely to be?  And back on the CPC side, why has Pleiades Cluster Center owner/promoter Faustus Grael been hanging around the main headquarters?  He's not exactly sneaking in, but he's not being forthcoming about his presence.  So what gives?  Trent thinks he knows.  Do you?

It's time for lucky show #13, Zone fans, and Trent has a bit of a chip on his shoulder this time.  Seems that his "good friend" Vidtek led him down a path of deception last time they spoke when he indicated he wasn't too keen on Sultana's chances against Mother Superior.  Now he's gone and joined Sultana's team – the Sultans of Swagger – for his in-ring comeback!  He and Trent have a little discussion about this, and you'll have to listen to see what sort of unpleasantries might be exchanged.

There's big news in the CPC, of course, too, as the upcoming Casualties of War supercard will have a main event pitting Mensar and Brainstorm against Euritar and Dante in a tag team Hydra Lumberjack Match.  With talent like this in the ring, and unknown enforcers on the outside, what's going to transpire?  All will be told next time in the report from the Pleiades Cluster Center, but you'll get the preview right here.  And two wrestlers – feuding opponents, in fact – receive Lawless Seals of Approval®.  Finally, Trent reports from the site of GalactiCon, with brief interviews with some big nerds ... er, devoted game fans.  All coming your way when you click the link above!

At GalactiCon '07, attendees were treated to a first in convention history – a concert by not just a comedy musician, but a comedy musician who plays Champions of the Galaxy and has written songs based specifically on GWF characters.  Grant Baciocco is the Everyman of Throwing Toasters, the guy who comes up with the music and the words, and often the only person playing and singing them.  He's just released Songs in the Key of GWF (available at www.filsingergames.com/home.htm), a must-have for any fan of the game who also enjoys laughing about something that the general public has no clue about.  This interview was conducted on the second day of the convention, and in it, Grant talks about his inspirations, what it's like to turn a character into a song, and his playing of the game over the years.  Listen, learn, and (if you haven't already), go buy every Throwing Toasters CD you can get your hands on.  Just don't be surprised if you do indeed laugh your a** off.  Consider yourself warned!

She's a mystery to all, even to the men she manages: Payback, Encubus, and Bloodline.  Who exactly is Mother Superior?  What are her motives?  Why is Sultana out to get her?  Will we ever get answers to these questions?  Trent and the returning Vidtek have some thoughts on this, but this enigma is far from solved.  Hear what they have to say about probably the most mysterious woman ever to enter the GWF (or any other fed, for that matter).

Trent's also got some news about the final footage shot for the Dante biopic, and what repercussions it's going to have in the CPC long after the documentary crew is gone.  How are Mensar and Euritar involved?  One things for sure, you know Brainstorm is in the middle of it!  Also, goody-two-shoes Scion Nexus gets himself a stinging Bitchslap and some advice on ditching his teammate to go it alone in the bold new frontier of the group-less CPC.

Now catch up.  I can tell you're already behind.  Click the link and dive on in!

Why in the heck are we talking about this guy again?  Well, if you've been looking hard at Mensar's success lately, you may also be wondering if he really has been doing it on his own, as he claims he has.  Trent's sources say, maybe not!  If what he has to say in this Zone of Lawlessness is true (and come on, it's Trent here, the truth will be proven in the end as always!), Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf might have this particular blood-sucking parasite on their hands again whether they know it or not.  What could they do?  Listen to Trent's take on the ramifications on the possible (informal but important) involvement in the current CPC!

There's also some more news from Alpha Lyrae and specifically from Dar Gova, hinting that the long-awaited Thayne/Jardiil matchup could be happening soon, but as usual, the Jardiil are being humorless and unforthcoming about it.  What could bring this match to pass?  And which of the CPC's six female competitors gets herself a coveted Lawless Seal of Approval®?  Click the POD link above, and get to listening!

Back for more aural potato salad?  You're in the right place.  Not only does Trent have a full report of what happened in the ex-partner matchups mentioned in Show 009 (T.K. vs. Raze and Rubicon vs. Hadrian), he's got some speculations on the aftermath of those encounters — and what encounters they were!  Plus, Vidtek is back from a slight dietary indiscretion to bring you his take on the latest phenom to enter a GWF squared circle, the Eugenics Project's own behemoth, Monolith.  Can he already be considered among the greatest ever to wrestle, or will he be forced into Disaster and Endgame's shadow as an also-ran?  Vidtek and Trent both have their ideas on this one.  Click the link above; the Zone awaits your arrival.

Have we got some Goldmine news for you in this episode of the Zone of Lawlessness!  Both Commissioner Prell and President Prodigy have created some matches for the same show that pit ex-partners against each other, and no doubt the sparks will fly!  Who is Hadrian (pictured here) going against?  You shouldn't have to think to hard about the answer.  Who's in the other match?  Listen and find out!

Trent's back to dishing out Bitchslaps, so check out which "colorful character" is on the receiving end this time, and you'll get a glimpse into the post-wrestling life of another former CPC great, one who made his name behind a mask, in fact.  The Zone of Lawlessness is back and in your face once again!

In this installment of Mark's Musings, I wanted to talk a bit about my own creative process as I write the sets for the CPC federation of Filsinger Games' Champions of the Galaxy, with specific instances drawn from the most recent installment, Cataclysm 2121.  While I may not be quite at the level of a Dark Menace of the Universe as far as creativity goes (I'm far too much of a planner for that), I hope this will answer some questions that game fans have had in the past about what thoughts go through my head as I tell the stories of these characters.  I know that my approach is different in many ways from Tom's, so if you're interested, this will shed some light on how I go about it.  (Now you can stop asking me questions about it at GalactiCon!)

That's right.  Our eighth show and we're finally getting around to reporting some stuff from that other league, the GWF.  And we've got the perfect reporter to do it.  Who, you ask?  You think we're gonna tell you without you listening?  Remember who you're dealing with here!

Also, there's an injury report on one half of the Punks, no longer the CPC tag team champs now that Darwin's Legacy has dethroned them.  Taurine suffered a beatdown at the hands of Hadrian in their title loss, and wait till you hear how it happened!  The Punks have revenge on their minds, and there's no doubt they're the most popular duo in the CPC right now.

Are you tired of all of Trent's negativity?  Well, you know where you can stick that opinion...  Anyway, rather than dole out a Bitchslap this time, we're happy (we think) to introduce the Lawless Seal of Approval® upon someone who has earned his kudos from our resident smarm-meister.  Who is it?  Well, Trent has to eat a little crow in doing so.  But that's the mark of a real man!

All right, no more Italian wannabes on this program.  Back to the news!

Trent's got a few issues on his mind, foremost of which is the rumor he's hearing about recently-departed AniMan and Dr. Barnabas' "greatest experiment" Puma, who is reportedly being drilled (and probably drugged) to get him into fighting shape for a return to the CPC by 2122 or maybe even before.  But if he does come back, how will Dr. B get past Prodigy's rule barring him from managing more than two wrestlers?  And what might Gila try to do in the meantime to get him back?  There's also an update on the war in Alpha Lyrae, with the insurgency of the northern people making a cause célèbre out of Thayne's family.  What will the Jardiil response be?  We'll also catch up with a former CPC wrestler in Trent's own version of "Where Are They Now?" (details inside), and the former Duck Boy gets himself a well-deserved Bitchslap.

Ready?  Point.  Click.  Listen...

It seems that there's been some talk lately (partially started by me) that the time may be right for some sort of Champions of the Galaxy audio project, complete with game fans providing the voices, music, and script for it.  I've devoted the second installment of my intermittent Musings to this topic, one that I've considered on and off for the greater part of two decades of playing now.  Is this a feasible project?  How would we pull it off?  Who would be involved?  And perhaps most importantly, when in the COTG timeline should such a project take place – 2087?  2074?  2119?  2122?  Or some other moment?

If you've got about half an hour to spare, and can put up with me ad libbing my way through most of this, then please help me figure this all out!

At the risk of incurring the wrath of a certain ring announcer, llllllllllllet's get ready to ... rumble?  Well, we're not sure if the confrontation between Trent Lawless and Franco Jesterelli can exactly be described as a rumble, but it sure is entertaining!  Trent thinks he's prepared to drive the ersatz Italian into the ground with his brand of verbal punishment, but one should never underestimate the power of a good laugh, and the surprise factor of the person providing it.  (We'll give you a hint: He's pictured here.)  Who wins this meeting of the minds?  Does Trent live up to his self-billed rhetorical prowess?  Can we understand a word Franco says?  You listen, and you be the judge.  But don't forget to smile!  Honestly, you probably won't be able to help it!

Well, you knew it had to happen eventually.  Somebody finally got peeved enough at Trent's fuming on the ZoL to demand to be included on the show, and while he's not a guest this time, you can bet sparks will fly when Franco Jesterelli joins Trent next time around.  Wait till you hear the war of words behind this feud!

Also, Trent follows up on the top 10 singles competitors in the CPC from last time with the top 5 tag teams.  Who grabs the top spot?  Current champs the Punks?  Perennial faves Darwin's Legacy?  Someone else?  Maybe he'll surprise you.  But he'll definitely give you a laugh or two along the way.

Back from a bit of a hiatus, Trent Lawless takes a cue from a listener who asks him, "If you had to give the Lawless Top 10 of singles competitors in the CPC right now, who would they be and why?"  Never one to mince words, Trent's got his opinions about this, and while most of the members of this elite group may not come as a shock, the order may be somewhat surprising.  Where did Mensar come in on that list?  You'll have to click the link to listen and find out!  Plus, Comedy finds himself on the receiving end of a Lawless you-know-what.

On December 4, 1986, I was in the eighth grade and had just received a package in the mail from Filsinger Games, a package that contained the introductory set of 24 cards and a handbook for the GWF and Champions of the Galaxy.  On December 4, 2006, 20 years and about a million cards later, I'm still rolling the dice and setting up matches in not just the GWF, but also the CPC and aCe federations, as well.  It's been a long strange trip from the days of Club Galactica (see the picture of me at age 15 here — and then promptly forget you ever saw it!), but I've got a lot of memories over those two decades, some of which I've chosen to share here, along with the results from my 20th anniversary supercard, fresh off the presses!

Thanks to Tom Filsinger for making me a willing slave these past 20 years, and to all the friends I've made along the way.  Here's to another 20 and more!

Countdown to Destruction is history, and what a history-making night it was!  Trent breaks down the reasons he's pumped for the Mensar/Euritar feud that's staring us in the face from the top of the card, plus he tries to figure out who Shylock has to worry about among the friends and foes around him.  He also wants to know who else you think might be plotting with Saboteur to bring the ex-OFCer down.  Gunnar has now staked his position against Zed Marlowe; has Killer Queen made the wrong decision?  Trent tells you what he thinks about this could-be sleeper feud of the year.  Who gets himself a Lawless Bitchslap this time?  Why, Raze, that's who?  (This is probably the only time you'll hear Trent talk psychiatry, so listen up good!)

NOTICE: If you're not up on events from CPC CATACLYSM 2121 yet, you may want to wait to listen to this episode.  Spoilers within!

Back for more, eh?  You won't be disappointed!

The year-end Countdown to Destruction show is nearly upon us, and after that, the teams in the CPC are no more.  What does this mean for the True Way's feud with the Dissidents?  One side wants to keep a tag team, the other doesn't.  Trent gives his take on it, plus newcomer Crucible and what he may or may not be.  And who (besides Trent) is sick to his stomach over the docuvid crew making a biopic about Mr. Magic Feet, Dante (pictured here)?  Rumor has it Hanuman wants more singles action this year, and he's got a very worthy opponent in his sights.  He'll get the Lawless perspective on what he needs to do to get an edge in this battle.

You ready?  Come join the Outlaws.

Ladies, gentlemen, and lower life forms of all ages, welcome to the first installment of the Zone of Lawlessness, with your host, CPC commentator and loudmouth (pictured here) Trent Lawless.  In this inaugural show, Trent talks about the news behind the news in the CPC in late 2120, including what's been happening with Thayne, the locker room machinations of the OFC, and the repercussions of Prodigy's big announcement.  He'll also give Dante a plan to break out as a singles star in 2121 and issue a call to all you indy promoters out there.  (And wait, did he just call out Massif?!)  It's all here, and more.  Come join the outlaws.  And please leave your comments.  (Yeah, like Trent'll read 'em.)
